Six (VI.) Major

Our augmented theory shows that in reality it is just a 'Major scale with a #5', The 'Major scale with a #4' turns out to be a simple key change so why not try a 'Major scale with a #1'. If there is any position of a chord or scale that is not suppose to be messed with it would be the first or 'root', Here is the scale pattern created by sharpening the root of the 'Key of C'...

* C major using "C#' instead of a C...

(Enharmonic Alias) D major using "F" instead of a F#...

The best way to look at any alteration is by looking at the chords that are affected, The scale created is unique but the basic chords just morph into chords from other keys. The #1 adds chords from the key two places going in fifths or clockwise, One easy reminder is to make the 'VI. minor' a 'VI. Major' so in the key of C you just play the 'A Major' chord instead of the 'A minor'...

C Major - C# - E - G  (turns into C# diminished)
F Major - F - A - C#  (turns into F augmented)
A minor - A - C# - E  (turns into A major)

The other chords (Dm, B dim, G, Em) are not affected as basic triads but when they are extended (7th, 9th...) then they are affected, Anytime you alter any degree of a scale then every chord will be altered in one form or another...

D minor 7th - D - F - A - C#
B dim. 9th - B - D - F - C#
G Major 11th - G - B - D - C#
E minor 13th - E - G - B - C#

We have no idea what to 'name' the (1# 2 3 4 5 6 7), If you play around with it then you will find it to be just as valid as our 5#(augmented) scale. Our 'augmented' theory 1 2 3 4 5# 6 7 is best starting from the 5# and it just happens that the new 'scale' sounds best starting from the 1#, It seems best to sandwich it between the I. and II...

C D E F G A B C
C# D E F G A B C# (1# .....)
D E F G A B C D
E F G A B C D E
F G A B C D E F
G A B C D E F G
G# A B C D E F G# (5# augmented)
A B C D E F G A

The 'six major' just means make the normally minor VI. into a major, There could be some exotic scale that we haven't tied into yet but its probably safe to say that the 1# 2 3 4 5 6 7 formula is our own...
