Augmented Chord Shapes - Left Handed

    These are crazy chords, they are in a sense rootless. They are also major based chords meaning they should be played on a major position of the key you are in, Just slide the shape around until any of the notes land on a major chord and it will then be one of three possible names. An 'x augmented chord' has three tones and any one of those tones can be the X... A "C Augmented" chord contains the tones "C - E - G#" so that means that not only is it a C Augmented chord, it is also an "E Augmented" and a "G# Augmented" chord.

    These Chords are cool sounding and very sparse... That just means theres not to many combinations that can be used. The also borrow the pivot tones from the keys to the right (cycled in fifths) If you augmented the three major chords of a key then you would be playing 10 of the 'only 12' tones that exist...
