The Pentatonic shapes are named minor and major, normally you don't hear that there are three minor positions and three major positions. The Blues scale is normally a pentatonic scale with an added flat 5th - We took it one step further and added a different blues scale along side the normal one, the new one is a pentatonic scale with an added flat 1st.
We tried to go the next step using a pentatonic scale with an added flatten 4th which turned out to be weird so we didnt add it. The "Major Scale Shapes" are similar in theory to the major scale shapes, It is the major scales chopped into smaller peices that interlock together. Its best to learn one block at a time and then learn how they interlock...
