Hungarian Scale...
Simple Scale Runs

The focus of these simple runs are to work on the basics of 'holding the fretboard' while you play notes within that range, There are two 'directions' you can move your hand (Horizontal and Vertical), These cannot be really called 'scale' runs because here you want to play every note chromatically...

Horizontal Run...

When playing the vertical run shown above you want to count each note in groups of four, Your hand will take two positions where it plays the '0-4' frets in the first position and plays the '5-8' frets in the second position, Your 'first finger' will play on the 'first' and 'fifth' frets only...

First Position
Second Position

The second simple run to do is the 'vertical' and mainly works on changing from one string to the next, For this run you will play in only the 'first position' that was shown in the first video, A secondary goal is to realize that you only play 'three notes' on the 'fourth string' due to the tuning offset...

Vertical Run Video...

First String - First Position
Fourth String - First Position

You should also practice this by counting in groups of four with the goal of playing 'in time' while smoothly moving from one string to the next, You will go through several (one two three four)'s and you should end up on the 'one count' for the beginning and ending of the run...

Vertical Run...

These 'simple runs' should only be used when you are first starting out to get your fingers used to moving around on the fingerboard, The 'semi complex' runs should be practiced once you learn at least one 'first position scale' (Ideally the key of C)...

Scale Runs - These are 'every tone' chromatic runs to get use to vertical and horizontal movement...

Aug5 Scale Runs - This shows the 'key of C' compared to the 'key of C with an augmented fifth'...

more to come...
