Power Thirds

   The power chord takes a triad and strips the middle tone so another two-tone chord is to take a triad and strip the end, These are normally referred to as intervals because there are only two tones, They are known as major and minor thirds...

   On our flash diagram you will find that the tones closest to the center line are the same tones, The power chords on the bottom are ones that are inverted meaning the root tone is not played first unless you strum up, The shapes you see on the diagram are not the same shapes used on the guitar and are meant to show which chords share shapes...
