The Mixolydian mode is one of the seven modes and in the Key of C it is simply 'G A B C D E F G', This can be learned best on the bottom three strings in the Key of C...
The second 'G Mixolydian' mode in the Key of C...

The first 'G Mixolydian' mode in the key of C...

If you truly know the 'C major scale' then you already know the modes, Once you learn a key then the modes are just a matter of starting and stopping points. We also have been showing 'in the key of...' which is just a courtesy because the mode names pinpoint the key, The 'G mixolydian' is only in the Key of C and moving the mode would change the key...
There are 'major' and 'minor' modes and the Mixolydian is the 'V. major' mode and probably sounds best when played along with the 'V. major chord', The other 'major modes' are the 'ionian' and the 'lydian'...
