Sometimes you will hear a song that is tuned a little bit higher than another song, Even when they are both 'standard tuning'. The frequency of A is normally 440, However you can tune it down to 428 which is noticeably different - Here's a chart that you can mouse over the tones to hear the slight difference in the two tunings...
For a smooth scale sound just move your mouse slowly 'over the tones' up the left side (440) and then slowly 'over the tones' down the right side (428), It almost sounds like one scale but you can tell the difference when you mouseover the tones by following the grey line...
