Catching Up II...
Lydian - Left Handed

The Lydian mode is one of the three major modes that falls on the 'IV.' (four) position of whatever key you are in, The fourth tone in the Key of C is 'F' so the 'F Lydian' mode would be 'F G A B C D E F'...

The first position 'F Lydian' mode in the Key of C...

The second position 'F Lydian' mode in the Key of C...

Once you learn the entire scale pattern then knowing octaves and the notes on your guitar will go a long way, The modes are mainly about the starting and stopping positions within a scale...

The first and second 'F Lydian' modes spread out instead of stacked...

We have been showing the modes from a 'stacked' point of view because of all the duplicate tones, You should always try to stay within a 4-5 fret span instead of the 10 fret span shown above, You should put alot of focus on major scale you are playing and pay very little attention to the mode or its scientific name with the exception of the tone name itself (A to A, F to F, Gb to Gb, etc...)
