The Major Shape on the previous page showed a "G Major Shape", The Major Shape right after the G Major is the "E Major Shape" When you move the "E" Major up three frets then you have the G Major. Shown below is the G Major shown in Standard and also on Our Chord Diagram, We also show you the same shape moved up two frets which makes it an "A Major".

You can move the E Major Shape up 12 times before it becomes another E major and it will always look the same in Standard aside from the Sharps (#) and Flats (b) at the Beginning. The A Major has a (C#) but we do not show it next to the Notation because that is how it is normally written (Without the Sharps and Flats next to the Notes)

Because the Sharps and Flats are shown at the Beginning of the Measure - you don't have to write it out except for at the beginning.

The Patterns that you look for are the Distances between the notes: When you count every line and space then you are going up or down every note that is in That Key. What makes this hard to see is the Space between the Treble Clef and Bass Clef, If they were stuck together then you would see how the 5 Major Shapes have different patterns and Stay the Same while they move up for the different Major Chords. Here's how this "E Major Shape" would look like moving up, as is if all of the staff lines were stuck together instead of having the Space.

The First Chord shown here is the "E Major Shape" at the 3rd fret which is "G Major" then each one after that is just moving that same "SHAPE" up one fret - so the order of the Chords above are:

G Major - Ab Major - A Major - Bb Major - B Major - C Major - Db Major - D Major - Eb Major - E Major - F Major - Gb Major - G Major - Ab Major

Remember that Each of the Major Chords have different notes and above you do not see the Sharps and Flats - If you are reading the chords off of standard, that is how they would look anyway!
