Learning the notes on you're guitar is very easy.
In the musical scale, there are only 12 notes. Below is the Key of "C".
There are only seven notes in any key (there are only 12 keys). For the members
we have a drag and drop version of this that goes up to the Key of D, This is
because the core idea is to learn the notes on the guitar...
Here
is the 'drag and drop' version of this lesson...
It is very practical below to learn the notes in of key of "C", Every key uses all the seven letters that are in the key of "C". (A, B, C, D, E, F, G). No matter what key you are in you'll find all seven letters (each time you change to a different key, you change on of the notes to Sharp {#} or flat {b}). Look at the diagram below, it shows all of the notes for the key of "C", notice the spaces between some of the letters.

Now we will show you how to practice learning the notes on your guitar without having a guitar, it is very simple, practice writing the letters on a regular sheet of paper. Use dots for the spaces. Do this on a Whole the sheet of paper, your paper should look like this:
a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc
a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc
a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc
a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc
a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc
a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc-d-ef-g-a-bc
Practice doing it in this box
until you can do it without looking
The more you do this the faster you will learn!, doing this on one-page the should be sufficient, Now you can try this on a blank Guitarweek scales worksheet. Now you just have to learn the open strings on the guitar.
the smallest string
is: E
the next bigger string is: B
the neck bigger string is: G
the next bigger string is:
D
the next bigger string is:
A
the biggest string is: E
When you learn the open notes on your guitar, then it is easy for you to learn the key of "C", each time you change keys, you only change 1 note (see keys)
The spaces that you use in the exercise above are the (sharps) #'s and (flats) b's - any note can be dubbed #' or b' - but no key will use a combination of the two.
for instance the note that is
between A & B can be called A# or Bb
The note that is between C & D can be called C# or Db
The note that is between D & E can be called D# or Eb
The note between F & G can be called F# or Gb
The note between G & A can be called G# or Ab
Now the confusing ones:
The E & F are right next to each other, E
can be called Fb and the F can be called E#
The B & C are next to each other, The B can be called be called Cb and the C
can be called B#
