Learning the Chords

Here are the only basic shapes that are used in every key, Learn these chords and and how to move them around. The notes with the / marks are the root notes, when you change chords, the root note determines the name of the chord. Alot of the chords in our Chords Database use these shapes over and over...

Any chord can be moved up or down, The very first note of the chord is usually the naming note. If you move the A power chord up two frets >>-- then it would be a B power chord. If you move that same A power chord up three frets >>> --- then it would be a C power chord... Etc.
