Auglydian - Left Handed

The Auglydian mode is one we made up because noone else has a name for it, I like playing around with the 'C augmented' scale starting from the augmented note (G#) and there's not really a name for it... (until now)

The Auglydian mode is the "Key of C" with a (sharp) (five) so it would be 'G# A B C D E F G#' which is great sandwiched between the "Aeolian" and the "Mixolydian", When you play the Aeolian, Auglydian and the Mixolydian modes one by one then it almost sounds like three different keys and the augmentation pops out at you more...

The first position 'G Mixolydian' mode in the Key of C...

The first position 'G# Auglydian' mode in the 'Key of C with a sharp five'...

The first position 'A Aeolian' mode in the Key of C...

The "Auglydian" mode is just a modification of the 'G Mixolydian' and there would be six other 'modes', For instance you could start the 'Key of C with a sharp five' starting from E which would give you 'E F G# A B C D E' which would probably be the "Augygian" or a modification of the 'Phrygian'...

(Normal names are to just add the word 'augmented' on the end of the regular mode name)...

Maybe you could use the 'Key of C with a sharp five' starting from the 'D' which would be 'D E F G# A B C D', Maybe this would be called the "Augorian" because its really a modification of the Dorian mode?

Keep on going by starting the 'Key of C with a sharp five' from the 'C' which would be 'C D E F G# A B C', This of course would be called the "Augonian" mode because its really an altered 'Ionian' mode...

Why not get the 'crian' in there by starting the 'Key of C with a sharp five' from the 'B' which would be 'B C D E F G# A B', This is the 'B Locrian' with a sharpend 'G' so lets call it the "Augcrian" mode...

The 'F' mode wouldn't have a good name because it also has the 'ydian' ending like the 'G' mode...

The 'A' mode would work by starting the 'Key of C with a sharp five' from the 'A' which would be 'A B C D E F G# A', This of course would most likely be dubbed the "Augolian" mode...

This is the only place you will hear about these weird modes that in reality do not exist, All those names are weird even to us but the main focus should be that you are playing the "Key of C with a sharp five" which will then make it easier to understand and play around with, Modes are great to study but you should be aware of the key or major scale you are playing at all times...
